A Letter To My Cousins,
We went through a lot, huh?
How could we be so close, yet not spoken in years.
I don’t need to say a word.
I know you understand, every word, I think. I say.
I’m sorry we were just knee high, before we were responsible to take care of someone else.
We never got to take time for ourselves.
Our minds, our thoughts.
But we never were truly alone.
.ever.
We never got to grow up.
When you have a younger sibling to watch and feed.
You don’t have to tell me your troubles.
I can read it in your eyes.
Usually we just sit in silence.
What more is there to say?
when we spend years battle our own minds.
We are the warriors, that don’t get named.
Silently waiting, to hit that spark.
To unleash it.
“Am I a monster?”
I feel like it everyday in this skin.
“Yes, and no.”
We were the first generation bred from pure chaos.
This is the result of it.
Just know this,
It doesn’t matter the time of day.
Tell me your troubles.
You are the only humans on this planet that understand this pain.
Being bred this way.
