Artist Statement

My work is a visual exploration of the subconscious, deeply influenced by astral projection and dream states, much like the methods of Salvador Dalí. I seek to capture the fluidity of thought, memory, and emotion as they transcend physical reality, giving form to visions that exist in the liminal space between waking and dreaming.

Through distortion, fragmentation, and surreal symbolism, I aim to evoke the sensation of stepping into an alternate dimension—one where figures dissolve and reassemble, where the familiar becomes uncanny, and where the eyes serve as portals to deeper realms of perception. My process often mirrors that of automatic drawing and dream incubation, allowing imagery to emerge organically from a meditative or trance-like state. This surrender to the subconscious fosters compositions that feel both intuitive and otherworldly.

Color plays a vital role in my paintings, with bold contrasts and expressive hues heightening the emotional resonance of each piece. In my charcoal works, I embrace raw, gestural mark-making to emphasize movement and depth, reinforcing a sense of transformation and impermanence. Whether in vibrant oils or monochromatic sketches, my art is a dialogue between control and chaos, conscious creation and subconscious revelation.

Ultimately, my work serves as a bridge between worlds—between the seen and unseen, the rational and the surreal. By delving into the ethereal landscapes of the mind, I invite viewers to momentarily step outside of linear time and into a space where identity, perception, and reality itself become fluid.
